Prelude to a Kiss – Film Review

b000053vc601lzzzzzzzPlot: A couple fall in love despite the girl’s pessimistic outlook. As they struggle to come to terms with their relationship, something supernatural happens that tests it… Starring Alec Baldwin, Meg Ryan, and Kathy Bates.

003706_13This 1992 film was seriously weird.  I mean, I knew it would be weird as soon as I saw that Alec Baldwin was the leading man…I can’t look at him without laughing!  In the end though, he was ok…and rather cute!

The film though was just too strange for me.  Basically she kisses an old man and their souls trade places.  It was like watching one of those really bad disney films from the 90s starring Lindsay Lohan.

This film is based on a famous play, which might be pretty good, but the film really missed the mark.  Now I know why it was the only Meg Ryan film I hadn’t heard of…

I recommend this film for anyone 14+ and give it **1/2.
