Plot: Swimming Pool focuses on Sarah, a rigid and conservative, yet successful English mystery writer. Sarah’s personal life and new novel take a dramatic twist when she meets her publisher’s sexy, free-spirited daughter Julie at his gracious mansion in the French countryside.

11lie4hxThis film really surprised me – it was nothing as I expected.  The film was quite beautiful, charming, and interesting…however, it’s ending was absolutely bizarre.

The film was made in France and takes place in both England and France, but primarily with English dialogue.  The main woman is writing a mystery novel and befriends in an odd sense the owner of the houses daughter.  However, its truly hard to analyze without giving away the ending, which I didn’t even understand.

I recommend this film for film buffs and for anyone 15+.  I give this film 2.5/5 stars.

Ps. If anyone actually understands the ending, please let me know!
