Plot: Taylor and two other astronauts come out of deep hibernation to find that their ship has crashed. Escaping with little more than clothes they find that they have landed on a planet where men are pre-lingual and uncivilized while apes have learned speech and technology. Taylor is captured and taken to the city of the apes after damaging his throat so that he is silent and cannot communicate with the apes.

charltonhestonkissesmonkeyThis classic had been on my list for years, and I FINALLY got to watch it.  This classic stars the legendary Charlton Heston with the classic line “take your hands off me you damn dirty apes!”

I thought the plot and script were absolutely fantastical…brilliant…amazing…clever.  I found the film itself actually pretty boring and slow, however, I thought the plot/script made the film.  The relationship between animal and man is truly fascinating… I really recommend this film to anyone and give it 3.5/5 stars!
